There's nothing but Eagles wins to talk about. In fact, I wanted to talk about the Eagles wins in relation to our expectations about the Eagles and changing expectations. I think it's fair to say after five consecutive wins that are filled up

the Eagles are good. They are a good NFL football team. They are not good in the way that the sixers were good when they were three and oh when they beat Miami and the bulls who were all sort of laughing when a new would come crumbling down. The Eagles are not only beating bad teams as they were for a little while. The Eagles went and beat the Arizona Cardinals who everyone said was a big test. They went and beat the Detroit Lions who everyone said was a big test. The Eagles are legitimately a good team not a lead team. They're not Denver. You know, they are not Seattle.

But they are that next level. They're good. And it's amazing when you think about what the expectations were for the Philadelphia Eagles. We thought we've been over this right. We've thought six and 10. We thought eight and eight occasionally you stumble into somebody who is particularly optimistic that said nine and seven. But we're all okay with that right. We're all okay with the idea of a rebuilding year and we would be lucky. If over the last month of the season that the Eagles would be relevant to the end of the year.

NFC East race because the one thing that we were right about at least in part except for the Eagles of the NFC East would stink. And we thought maybe just maybe that eight and eight could win the NFC East. And you know, we'd be have a relevant last few games and look at them now. Not only are they the talk of Philadelphia are Philadelphia Eagles of the talk of the entire NFL. The quarterback not Michael Vic. The quarterback Nick falls. The savior is on the cover of sports illustrated.

And when I talk about expectations, I talk about some people that are saying that anything from this point on being that they already have eight wins, which is our top projection anyway. From this point is gravy. Some people are saying that because we didn't expect much from the Philadelphia Eagles that we should be happy with what we've got. Right. That Chip Kelly has doubled the win total. And to go from four wins to eight wins, no matter what happens. We believe in the coach. We have a solid

foundation. We should be happy from this point on anything that happens. Playoffs division home playoff game. That's wonderful. Just happy to be here. And I'll tell you what your expectations should be more than that. That that notion of happy to be here. That this is a rebuilding year anymore is nonsense. And it's over as the season goes on. You no longer have to keep your expectations from August.

Here in December, knowing what you know now, you no longer have to believe that the Eagles should be satisfied with eight wins and a solid foundation. That is no longer the expectation because we know different things now. Things change. The Houston Texans going into the year. I can tell you that their fan base thought that they were a Super Bowl contender in the AFC. And they went to know. And I would bet you that the Houston Texans believed that they were a legitimate team. Well, they've lost 11 straight.

And I can bet you anything that no one in Houston is talking about the Super Bowl for the Houston Texans. Expectations change because situations change. And our new reality is that you have every right to expect that the Eagles go and win the NFC East and anything else from this point on is a failure that we can be upset about. They should win no less than 10 games. They should win the NFC East.

And I'll tell you what on top of that, you have a right to expect that the Eagles can win a playoff game. If they have the Carolina Panthers at home at Lincoln Financial Field, even if they have the Northern Saints, a dome team on the road in January at Lincoln Financial Field, those are games that not only you should consider that they could win. They shouldn't get lucky to win. They should be in serious discussion that they should win that game.

They might even be a favorite against Carolina. You might even see them as a one or a one and a half point favorite if that's a home playoff game in January. Think about this. The reality of the Philadelphia Eagles and your expectations the rest of the year, the reality is that the quarterback has the highest passer rating in the NFL.

The reality is that the Eagles have a running back who's not only leading the NFL in total yardage by like almost a hundred yards, but is leading in yards per carry.

The Shaw McCoy is leading the NFL in yards and is five yards a carry. The Shaw McCoy is averaging a hundred yards a game. Go look at it. He's over 1300 yards. They played 13 games to Sean Jackson over a thousand yards career year, Brett Selik, maybe not numbers wise, but looks better than he has in three or four years.

He's dragging guys across the field. He's outrunning guys. He's blocking great zackers starting to come on. And then you talk about the defense of the Philadelphia Eagles that hasn't allowed 21 points in what eight games now. The Eagles defense that are is fourth in the NFL in takeaways.

The Eagles defense that I think is six over all the Eagles team and turnover differential. The Eagles are a good team and we should not settle for happy to be here. And that's a good thing, right?

We are not a town that looks at our football team and says, well, you know, eight wins is great. Well built for the future. The NFL is not about building for the future. The NFL is not the NBA.

It doesn't take five years, you know, to build a program in the NFL. You can turn, look at how fast Jim Harbaugh turned around the San Francisco 49ers.

Look at how fast that happened. Look at how fast Andy Reed turned around the Kansas City Chiefs. Look all around the league. Look at how, look at Seattle. How fast that situation turned around.

I mean, Ron Rivera turned around the Carolina Panthers mid season. There's a guy about to get fired accidentally goes for it on fourth down. And here we are considering them one of the elite teams in the NFL.

This team, your expectations about this team deserve to change and they've earned that. And with that success comes added expectations and maybe more pressure.

But I'll tell you what, there's no way that Chip Kelly at this point is settling for just happy to be here. There's no way that at this point, Chip Kelly said, well, at the beginning of the year, I thought maybe we'd only get eight wins. So if we don't win another game, it's a success.

I know this was supposed to be a rebuilding year, but it isn't just a rebuilding year anymore. This is a rebuilding year and a winning year.
