Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon News podcast, a feature of Mormon

My name is John D'Alene.

I am one of your hosts for today or for Mormon Stories podcast.

It is June 21st, 2018 and we have, as every week sort of presents to us, we have another

round of cool stories to be discussing this week.

We took last week off, but thanks to the work of Tim Corey and Amy Grubbs and our panelists

were back for another round of news.

There's several topics that we're going to be covering today.

A lot of news on Donald Trump and the recent announcements about our immigration policy

here in the United States where apparently they're separating children from parents in

the process of dealing with illegal immigration.

The eldest church came out with a response on that, so we're going to talk about that.

There was some controversy in the past couple of weeks as the Provo Freedom Festival denied

several LGBTQ plus groups, denied their applications to be a part of the parade.

So we'll be giving you an update on that.

The other is Church's announced a new hymnal.

So we're going to be talking about what changes we'd love to see made.

That's going to be really cool.

Then we'd love to hear also some changes recently that have been made just announced in

the past year to around Bishop's interviews.

It looks like the good work of Sam Young is starting to make its way to church headquarters
