Hey Elizabeth, so I have to ask, in Pride of the X-Men, why the hell does Wolverine have an Australian accent?

I know, right?

Well, it could be for a few different reasons.

The simplest explanation is that the same guy voice acted Wolverine years before in

Spider-Man and his amazing friends and he had an Australian accent back then too, at

least according to IMDb the rest of the internet thinks it's some other guy.

Oh right I remember that episode a

Firestar's origin episode I'd forgotten about that what else it might also have come

from confusion about the script in an early draft Wolverine calls

pyro a dingo which makes sense since Pyro is actually supposed to be

Australian.

Well, as a script was revised, someone changed the line so Wolverine was saying

it to tote instead, so I guess whoever was in

in charge of casting figured that that must mean that

Wolverine was the Australian one.

Wow, they should have hired me and Jay to check their work.

I mean we were like seven back then so maybe not. I don't think that's what really happened though.

Really? Why?

According to the show's voice director, the studio forced him to make Wolverine Australian,

partially because Claremont was supposedly going to reveal that Logan actually was Australian.

That makes no sense.

And partially to make him more like Mad Max and Crocodile Dundee.
