Five Live. Good show today. All got our masks ready to wear in shops because we obey the

rules and think about other people. Yes. So, hope you're doing the same too. I didn't

say this on air because I didn't want to get any more of those sorts of texts and tweets,

but I was getting my breakfast on the way to the studio today and a guy who brought his

dog into a bakery was wearing a mask and said, I can't get you some, I can't breathe. And

I said, and I'm glad I said it, I said, well, you certainly can't breathe when you're

dead. Oh, hello everyone. John, you're so sassy. I am sassy and what did you say? You

just sort of looked sort of like that sort of astonished look kind of, oh, that's just

how people have made it a theoretical issue. I do not know. You're so naughty. You know,

what was nice? Dogs as a nurse is where them 12 hour shifts to keep people alive. So you

can wear them for five minutes while you're getting a vegan sausage roll. What was nice?

Because I've heard quite a few reports and stuff of just you walking into shops and there's

no one wearing masks. I went into a supermarket here at Media City up in Solford where I am at

the moment and everyone was in a mask. Good. There was a hundred percent mask hit rates. And I

thought, you know what, there are obviously some people that are taking the advice. Yeah,

and some of the problem is, well, some people do have like sort of medical reason not to

absolutely fair enough. So you wouldn't want to go in too hard with anyone who's not wearing one

just in case, but I just think it's such an, what a terrible hill to literally die on.

But also, I've seen people tweeting stuff like, it's actually taking the joy out of human

direction. I mean, it's taking the joy out of snorkeying. Yeah, it's taking the joy out of vaping.
