the first amazing instruments I owned was a Billy Sheehan attitude, limited one in lightning blue,

bromberg base made by pv it was called a b quad four man holler at me if anybody remembers

that that was more like mid to late 90s maybe 95ish-ish, I would say.

You know, and then as I got older, I didn't want to have a signature base.

I wanted to have my own thing.

Like I didn't want to buy the flea base, nothing against flea.

I love flea, but I didn't want his base.

I wanted something of my own. And this is something that I've really struggled to navigate as my career has gone on.

And I've been offered signature deals.

I have a signature base with Voron Saku, although, you know, it's not, he's not making very many of them.

And you can still order a variety of features on it.

And also, I don't know if you've seen, but I did a collaboration with Spencer, Lull, from Mike Lull.

And we made a bass called the IMA4.

And listen, this is crazy because I knew that was going down when we did this interview, but I was really not interview when Scott and I did this podcast, right? But I wasn't sure what we were going to call the instrument. It hadn't been announced yet. And I was really on this kick, M on this kick of like, I don't want to have big branding on it. I don't want to have like a hat and glasses on the back of the headstock of a base.

Because I don't know that anybody really wants that.

From me, I want an instrument that I help design that is really cool and versatile and amazing with features that are really intentional that you're going to like.
