0:56.6	It's great to be here. I'd great to have you on the show. I'd like to begin today just by just stating this, just to open the show.
1:07.0	Like, in recent episodes, I've expressed, you know, some confusion, some dismay, and some criticism at our president over his tariffs policy. And just sort of my lack of an understanding of what he's trying to do with imposing these tariffs,
1:11.8	where this is all going, and just sort of I've expressed doubts about whether he really has
1:16.2	the best interests of American workers at heart. And I think in fairness, I should begin today's show
1:22.1	by acknowledging that finally President Trump is beginning to speak to issues that affect Americans like me.
1:29.5	And I'm speaking, of course, about his recently stated policy to enact tariffs on foreign movies
1:35.0	and make more and better movies here in America. So I'd like to begin today with this post
1:40.3	from Donald Trump, who states, the movie industry in America is dying a very fast death.
1:46.8	Other countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from
1:51.0	the United States. Hollywood in many other areas within the USA. Hollywood and many other areas
1:56.7	within the USA are being devastated. This is a concerted effort by other nations and therefore a national security threat.
2:03.6	It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda.
2:06.6	Therefore, I am authorizing the Department of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative
2:10.6	to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100% tariff on any and all movies coming into our country
2:16.6	that are produced in foreign lands.
2:19.0	We want movies made in America again.
2:22.7	So I think I'm finally beginning to get what he's doing with this, and I have to say I support it.
