Swam Dweller. I've been listening to your stories for some time, and it made me start thinking

about some of the crazy things that I've seen and I've lived through. I have several unusual stories, but the

one I'm going to tell you about took place in 2010 when I was living, while more like couch

surfing in Burlington, Vermont. My living situation was tricky at the time. My daughter's

mother had kicked me out and moved some dude from the

Midwest into our home. I'm not dwelling on that, just explaining why I was sleeping on a couch at the time.

I had several roommates, one who we'll call Chuck, who had a girl named Molly, always hanging

around. So one night, we had some friends hanging out.

Our friends Brian and Lily were hanging out. We drank tea and talked about the Blair Witch

movie and how crazy people went over it. It was then that Brian said, hey, has anyone taken

David to the haunted beach? Everyone got real quiet. Chuck spoke up.

I don't think anyone has. Me, being into the paranormal, had my interest immediately peaked.

You want to go? I said to no one in particular. It was late, around 2 a.m. if I remember correctly, but everyone was pumped up on caffeine,

and we all thought it would be a great idea. Chuck told me I should bring something for fighting what he called the demon.

We all grabbed our spiritual gear, well, those who had some, and I held my sword. Yeah, yeah, I know how it sounds, a sword,

but it was one of the only things I had at the time to keep me safe for many spirits and

were crazy people, or maybe even predators. As crazy as my sword may sound, I think Brian had

some prayer beads or something and Chuck and Molly did some prayer in front of Chuck's little Wiccan shrine.

I didn't notice Lily do anything unusual, but she did check out my sword with the real look on her face.

It's a look that I don't really know how to describe.

After that, we all hopped in Chuck's car and headed south. We went south of Burlington
