Hello, welcome to another episode of the World War II podcast. The 75th anniversary

of the D-Day Landings has just passed on the 6th of June and in the last episode

we looked at the American Experiences that day at Omaha Beach.

The high casualty rate makes those landings well known.

What may come as a surprise to many is that the Canadians and British landed more men that day on their beaches,

sword, Juno and gold than the Americans, though to caveat that once ashore the buildup of US men and material was astounding

over the coming months. In this episode we're going to concentrate on the British

and Canadian landings on D.A.
