Joining Brian and myself in the studio is Dr Rebecca Geddes, one of our lectures here at the RVC in internal medicine and part of a fantastic research group looking into renal disease in cats. 0:51.1	And that was part of your, part of your PhD.
0:56.3	Can I just ask you what your PhD was actually on?
1:00.0	Well, pretty much calcium and phosphorus.
1:02.1	So, yeah, I was essentially looking into calcium and phosphate, sort of homeostatic
1:10.0	disruption once you've got chronic kidney disease going on.
1:13.2	So secondary renal hyperparathyroidism and all of that jazz.
1:18.4	Okay.
1:19.3	And so what I wanted to ask you, so why should we be interested in calcium and phosphorus in our cats in general.
1:28.6	We'll talk about cats because it's probably a bit simpler with renal disease.
1:32.0	Yeah, I mean, yeah, let's stick with cats.
