1st Corinthians chapter 3 verses 1 through 3

but I brothers could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants

in Christ.

I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it, and even now you are not yet ready, for you were not ready for it and even now you are not yet ready for you

are still of the flesh. This is the beginning of another section in 1st Corinthians where Paul is addressing the disunity and

division in the church at Corinth which was a picture of their spiritual immaturity. And so he says to them,

I couldn't address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh is infants in Christ.

So he calls them basically like spiritual babies.

And he said, I'm feeding you with milk,

not solid food because you couldn't couldn't take down solid food.

So we know that analogy with a child

who's only able to take milk

and then the picture is they grow

to where they begin to take on a little more solid food,

and then finally to where they have a diet of solid food, regularly in taking
