Have you noticed that something is missing in our lives?

No, I'm not talking about a sense of purpose or where you put your car keys.

I'm talking about serial killers. I'm sure you think about serial killers from time to time.

Oh, you don't? I only think about that because I want to talk about weird

topics. Well I am going to talk about today. Welcome to Free For All Friday here on the Council

of Trent podcast. We talk about whatever I want to talk about while Mondays and Wednesdays we talk apologetics and theology.

And today I want to talk about serial killers.

And what's really interesting is they're kind of going extinct,

which is a good thing, obviously, right?

Serial killers are certainly bad news, a bad thing.

And we would be good to see them hopefully go completely extinct.

But do you remember a time and serve some of my older listeners they've got to remember this as well right

if you were growing up in the 70s and 80s right I was you know I spent my early

child I'm a 90s kid but I inherited the 80s I was born in 85 so I remember I remember the tail end of the 80s 89 a little bit

but my formative childhood years were early 90s still inheriting a lot of 80s

stuff but a lot of 90s nostalgia is mixed in there I still love love the 80s

only I don't love from the 80s and the 70s which maybe some of my listeners you lived through

it seemed like there were serial killers everywhere right you? You had the night stalker, you had son of Sam, you had Ted Bundy, you had the BTK killer from Kansas, and they had all these names and you had you had the zodiac killer going back even further.

And so you had like, especially in the 1970s and 80s,

it just seemed like there was always these news stories about serial killers and there were a fair number but now

think about it you don't really hear news stories serial killer like even there

were so many of them that you had in the 90s you had silence the lambs
