Welcome back to the podcast. My name is Joseph Clough, and this is episode 923. Now in today's episode I want to break down a few

0:26.7

things as to my personal journey from how I used to be to who I am today. If you've been

0:35.4

listening to me for some time now, you all know that I used to

0:39.9

experience lots of anxiety, lots of dread, fears, self-doubt. If they had an idea of what

0:47.8

imposter syndrome was back then, I would have had it. All the things, from the physical

0:52.9

of the blushing, the real gut-wrenching dread, the social

0:57.5

anxiety, the social phobia. If you looked up all those things, typed online, you would

1:03.0

have seen a picture of me, because that's how I used to feel. Now today, although it's been

1:30.6

impress you, but I'll hopefully to impress upon you that if I can do it, a shy boy growing up,

1:38.9

dropped out of college, dropped out a business university, and didn't really enjoy life, really hated the job that I had,

1:47.8

and then did that total change to doing what I love and enjoying who I am and knowing that

1:54.2

I'm enough, if I can do it, so can you. So let's kind of break this down a little bit. They did some studies on phobias

2:05.6

of how to let go of the phobias. Now the interesting thing is the ones who are able to let go of phobias,

2:13.6

they started to model those who had let go of phobia.

2:20.3

So I'm going to say it again, case I messed it up.

2:23.3

When they're researching how they let go of phobias, they weren't focusing on the phobic people.

2:28.3

They focused on people who had phobias to them figure out how they actually managed to let it go organically. So there's a lesson that.

2:41.5

If we're truly wanting to make a change, let's say you were like me or are like me or were like

2:48.1

me who had anxiety, fears, phobias and all those kind of things
