We can get so busy that we allow culture to dictate who we are as a family, rather than our family influencing the culture around us. In this episode, we talk about some of the critical first steps in discovering what makes your family unique.

And as Christi so eloquently states, "Your uniqueness is so normal to you, that you often can't see it." That's because our family purpose is often hidden within the generations that went before us--the family stories, patterns, and even moments of overcoming difficult circumstances.

0:08.0	And we link that to questions that we ask them to help them find greater purpose in their lives.
0:14.0	What are things that get them outside of themselves?
0:16.0	Because we know as young kids, they get into these narcissistic years,
0:19.0	they get into these years where it's just very difficult for, like, they're very self-centered
0:22.6	and self-focused, and we get frustrated as parents.
0:25.2	But the more that we can give them a sense of purpose, they want to know that there's
0:31.2	something, there's a story greater than themselves.
0:34.0	And as parents, we have the ability to do that, to give them a story bigger than themselves.
