Greetings friends. It's another week of the podcast of Brave Writers Life in Brief.

Whose Life in Brief will we examine today? Yours, but also mine. You see,

you and I both perform the same role in our families and that's what today's episode is all about.

English speakers have taken a common noun and turned it into a verb,

which transform the honor of the noun into an activity that is a daily source of anxiety and stress.

At least, that's how it feels to me.

For those who are new to this podcast, I'm Julie Bogart.

I'm the creator of the Innov writing program called Brave Writer, celebrating its 20th anniversary

this year, and I'm the founder of our online homeschooling community called the Home School Alliance.

Several weeks ago I had voice surgery.

I use it a lot and my vocal cord problems go all the way back to musical theater days of high school.

Today is my first day back recording for a podcast.
