Now, before we start the podcast, I just want to tell you about my new TV series, Normandy

44, D-Day and the Battle of France, based on my book The Same Name.

This three-parter sees me and former US Special Forces officer Dr Mike Simpson, touring

not only the invasion beaches, but the wider, deeper battlefield, and discussing the 77-day

campaign in much greater detail than other docks do on this subject.

So, in a nutshell, there's more chat, less repeating what's been happening in the previous

15 minutes, a fair bit of busting of myths, and we hope, telling you stuff you as viewers

haven't already heard a hundred times before.

It's going to be coming out in May, but we're looking to give 10 people an exclusive chance

to see the series before anybody else, and to review it for us.
