Summary
Nayaswami Jyotish came onto the spiritual path in 1967 when he met Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda.
In 1968, Swami Kriyananda founded Ananda World-Brotherhood Village in California, one of the most successful intentional communities in the world. Jyotish served the next ten years as Ananda's general manager.
Before Kriyananda's passing in April 2013, he named Jyotish as his spiritual successor.
Jyotish has taught and lectured extensively around the world for over forty years and helped establish Ananda’s work in Italy and India. Along with his wife Devi, he serves as the Spiritual Director of Ananda Sangha Worldwide.
