Buck, this is a fun episode.

Look forward to it every year where we preview these conference championship games

and see if we can't learn something from how those teams were constructed. So we'll get a chance

to jump into that in just a little bit. But we do have some newsy items as well as some draft stuff

I'd love to get to here right off the top, including a couple coordinator hires. Let's start

first of all here, Buck. Alabama, they lose their coordinator, Bill O'Brien.

He goes back to the New England Patriots, where he once was seen screaming and yelling at Tom Brady

on the sideline once upon a time. Seems like a million years ago. But has a relationship with

Mack Jones. He's the new quarterback coach and OC for the New England Patriots.

Your thoughts on that one?

Best of both worlds for Bill Belichick.

The reason I say that is because Bill O'Brien is well-versed in the old Patriots' offensive system.

That system has been the same since, what, 2000, when they took over and they became kind of the evil empire, the National

Football League. And one of the things that people have always talked about, the consistency

of the system because you have a defensive head coach and Bill Belichick, but they were

somehow able to keep the system the same, meaning different coordinators, but it didn't matter

because they had the same playbook for all the players.
