Um, I, I'm watching this episode and I go through like different filters of my Walking Dead fandom and anti- like, you know, is this show deserved to be doing something like this?

And then I start thinking about like comparing it to like the next generation episodes that we've watched and I've watched recently and I'm like, well I mean this is at least as good as that and you have to flush out an antagonist and you have to

like get eventually this is such a weird thing the skin walking deal you have to have some kind of bizarre weird thing to get it started like you know like that's the thing that Jadis was missing to like but why but why of all okay you were a

kindergarten teacher did finger paints and you like to do art but why all this other

stuff you know like why why all the mad max burning man shit like whose idea was that who enforced it

they're attempting to answer this question and doing it through

characters who we know have gone through similar abuse and kind of being like I

the the the um Darryl using Henry is such an interesting thing because it's a dual purpose.

He's getting valuable information.

He's also teaching Henry a lesson about how you can be used

if you're so fucking wretchedly naive.

And better that a gentle lesson from someone who loves and cares for you

than you know dying screaming at the hands of a shaved head Samantha Morton later on in the

season so I think a lot of it was pretty I thought it was pretty interesting and

I feel like in other earlier seasons they would have drugged this reveal about you know the true nature of the mom and the dad and who's the bad guy and who's the good guy and they would have drug it out for several episodes and then okay

they did tie a bow on it, it did feel a little rushed that someone with this much

trauma and abuse and living with it would just flip on their, you know, abuser and their pack at like the very first like sign of

safety and stability. But you know what? I don't know psychology enough to know that's
