1:18.4 | the infant and maternal mortality rates, the disproportionate rates in which black women and |
1:23.7 | women of color suffer from complications when compared to white women, lack of childcare |
1:28.5 | options, and the significant cost of childcare, or just the overall stress of maintaining a |
1:34.7 | career with children or staying home full-time with children. It's all incredibly difficult. |
1:40.7 | In the next two episodes, several mothers from across the US will share their own personal journeys. |
1:46.7 | My goal is to bring light to these very real issues that face mothers in America today, |
1:51.6 | because the more we talk about the issues, the more we are able to change them going forward, |
1:56.7 | and create a better life for our own children. Never underestimate the power of women, |
