For many of us Irish folklore conjures up images of fairies,

Giants, and leprechauns with their huge pots of gold,

just wanting to be discovered by those adventurers enough to search for the end of a rainbow.

Many such tales and legends were passed from generations to generations,

in the very same way we were taught to celebrate important moments such as marriages,

deaths, birthdays, and holidays,

or even the way we hand down skills such as making weaved baskets or St. Bridget's crosses.

All of the above can be considered as a part of Irish folklore,
