I feel like if I catastrophize and overthink about something that may or may not happen, it's this

semblance or distortion of me controlling whatever thing I'm actually afraid of. And it's me stepping

in front of God going, no, no, no, no, I got this if I just completely obsess about this thing until I feel like it's going to be perfect.

That facade of control is really just that coping mechanism, that dopamine hit for me.
