Welcome everyone to another regularly scheduled rerun in light of the news.

This news is happening.

It's a little bit behind the scenes, a little bit below the radar, pick your metaphor,

but Jeff Sessions is going to work on our drug policy.

He can't wait to take us back to the old, you know, the, the Nixon era, tough on crime,

just say no kind of nonsense that every study that anyone's ever done has shown doesn't work.

And so today I thought I would pull one from our archives,

taking a look at what a drug policy might look like that makes some sense,

explain why getting tough on crime and drugs doesn't make sense and, and really digging into what drug addiction is all about.

And why we should be treating it as a social problem and medical problem rather than a crime problem.

So that's on today's rerun for members.

Amanda and I had a couple of different conversations.

We were talking with some members who called in and left member voice mails about member stuff.

And then we responded about the member stuff and that's all on the member show.

So if you're not a member, you wouldn't, you wouldn't understand.

And then we moved on to our main topic, which was sort of a follow up to an episode I did a couple of weeks ago about our digital habits,

you know, technology, how we use it, how we spend our time, our culture around it and all of that.

And we came up with the idea of Amanda doing a deep dive digital diet for a week where she's sort of cold turkeys.

And not that she's not going to use technology, but she's going to adopt a whole bunch of strategies to change the way she uses technology all at once.

And then we're going to report back in the next week or so to see how that went.

So today's episode was sort of the, the before picture.
