We had studied how you analyze the meaning of the Mahavakya, the great sentence.

The great sentence meaning which tells you

And there are four of these sentences which are conventionally taken, one from each of

The most famous of them being the Tatuam Asi, that that thou art, taken from Chandogya Upanishan, from the Sama Vedah.

Swami Vivekanth, for example, was very fond of quoting that one here, that thou art.

Why was it difficult? Why do you need to analyze a sentence to understand its meaning? Because normally we

understand sentences when they are spoken. You see, to understand the meaning of a

sentence, you need to know the meanings of the words involved and how they fit
