On a regular basis, people also ask

for church recommendations,

and typically the post sounds something like this one

that I saw recently, quote, looking for a nice friendly

community church where we can get involved with volunteering and make new friends.

Well, of course that description could fit churches with vastly different beliefs.

So if you're looking for a church, the most important thing to start with is finding out

whether the church's teachings line up with the Bible, not whether it has a thriving community.

But that said, it can be really tricky to discern what's

going on at churches from looking at their presence online. Whether you're

looking for a new church for yourself helping a friend evaluate churches in

another city,

looking for a church in your college students, New Town,
