And the subject today as we head on toward Halloween is all things scary. And the only people I could get to come on this podcast are two of the scariest people I know, Steve Lutz and Ben Boychuk. Thank you, sir. I appreciate that assessment. Well, you're very welcome. Ben, are you still alive? Or have you been horribly killed by an axe murderer?

So we actually had an interesting email thread when we were putting this together,

which was that it turns out that a lot of our regular contributors to the podcast are afraid of, are afraid of being scared, which, you know, I can guess. And then there was this whole conversation about like good horror and bad horror and what makes a good kind of scary or horror movie versus what, you know, which ones are bad.

And I'm just kind of curious what you guys think.

What is an example of something?

If somebody wants to watch something that is going to put them in the Halloween spirit,

what's the kind of stuff they should be going for?

Well, again, it depends largely on whether you're the kind of candy ass that apparently the rest of the podcast people tend towards or if you're into something maybe a little more gruesome, a little more gory.

I think just in general, most people will say, or at least will only admit to appreciating films that are a little more subtle, a little less blood intensive.
