As Israel's government tries to decide how to respond to Iran's attack, world leaders are urging

restraint. The Israeli War cabinet is meeting again today

after they failed to reach a decision yesterday and officials say they're discussing

both military responses and diplomatic options.

On Saturday night, Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel, but the Israeli

military says 99% of them were intercepted.

Iran has said it considers the matter concluded unless Israel retaliates.

Israeli government spokesperson David Mentzer spoke to CNN.

The primary responsibility of every single government is the protection of their people. But whether there is a response

or not, we're fighting Iran every single day. Israel has said it will quote, exact a price from Iran, but so far it's not clear what that will be

officials say President Joe Biden has told Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu

that the US will not be involved in any counter strikes against Iran.

They said the two leaders spoke on the phone after the attack

and Biden suggested to Netanyahu that the interception of the strikes was a victory

and so a further response would be unnecessary.
