Hello from CNN, I'm Joe Beck. With the five things you need to know for Wednesday, December 6th.

There are reports of Israeli air strikes in and around a crowded refugee camp in Gaza.

Local witnesses told the Palestinian authorities state media

outlets that there's been a high number of casualties from the attack. They claim

the Israeli military carried out raids and airstrikes that quote

targeted an entire residential square in the Jabalia camp killing and wounding

dozens including children.

CNN can't verify those reports because access to the area is difficult and communications

are poor.

Israeli forces haven't commented that they had earlier told residents of the camp to head to safe zones.

But UNICEF's James Elder says those don't really exist.

These are tiny patches of barren land or they're street corners. There's no water, no facilities, no shelter.

Israel's military today claims to have found a large weapons stockpile

near a clinic and school in northern Gaza.

CNN is unable to verify the size of the stockpile

or where they were found.

A man is in custody in Texas after six people were violently killed, two officers were shot, and another person was injured across Austin in San Antonio yesterday.
