Israeli forces have intensified military operations in northern Gaza and parts of Raffer,

and the UN's main aid agency in Gaza says people fleeing Rafa are facing dire conditions as

CNN Scott McClain explains. Hey Joe the UN says that 450,000 people have now fled

Rafa looking for really any measure of safety. But what they are not

finding is the basics, shelter, water, or bathrooms. Even the conditions at what

Israel is calling a humanitarian zone along the coast are sorely lacking.

The UN says the situation can only improve with more supplies, but at the moment,

aid is getting into Gaza at a trickle.

President Joe Biden has warned Israel that if it launches a ground invasion in Raffa,

the US will stop supplying some heavy duty weapons.

But two congressional sources say the Biden administration has started the lengthy process of approving

a $1 billion arms deal for Israel. That would still have a long way to go to become a reality though.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is postponing taking part in all international events scheduled for the coming days

because of Russian advances in the Harquive region.
