Hurricane Idalia is moving towards Florida, for it's expected to make landfall tomorrow morning,

with powerful winds and a life-threatening storm

surge. The National Hurricane Center says it's also expected to intensify

considerably tomorrow into a powerful category 3 hurricane with millions under hurricane and storm surge

warnings. CNN Sarah Sidner is on the ground in Clearwater Florida.

Look like every other hurricane it is calm before the storm but this is when people are

being told to evacuate in 10 counties and preparations are underway as

Adalia who started out as a tropical storm and is now a hurricane.

We've talked to people early this morning at 5 a.m.

who are also preparing to leave.

They came to visit clear water where we are,

and now they realize that this could be a very

dangerous and serious storm. Now hurricane season hasn't even peaked yet

but FEMA is already announcing nearly $3 billion for communities to build resiliency

against extreme weather fueled by climate change.

The new funding comes from a bipartisan infrastructure law passed last year.
