That was U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin, speaking from Kyiv today on his third trip to the Ukrainian capital since the start of the war last year.

The trip comes as Ukraine's counter-offensive moves into its fourth month, with concerns that progress

But both political and military leaders in Kyve are talking up recent gains, especially in the south of the country.

And a senior State Department official told reporters traveling with Blinkin that he would announce more than a billion dollars in new US funding.
