Israel says its forces are pushing forward into Northern Gaza, as Hamas fighters continue to retreat.

But the Israeli military bombing a densely populated refugee camp

twice in two days has led to criticism of the country and of President Joe Biden.

Mr President, if you care about Jewish people as a rabbi,

I need you to call for a ceasefire right now.

That's from a video of Biden at a closed-door fundraiser in Minneapolis,

released yesterday by Jewish voice for peace.

Biden responded with a call for a humanitarian pause in the fighting, to allow for the release of hostages

held in the Gaza Strip and for aid to go in.

Biden and his top national security officials

are increasingly confronting questions

about Israel's commitment to minimalizing civilian deaths,

especially in light of the two strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp that killed scores of people.

And even some allies worry that defending Israel's response to the October 7th Hamas terror attacks could become an untenable position for the White House.

While many people remain trapped in Gaza, Egypt says it's preparing for the evacuation of nearly 7,000 foreign citizens from more than 60 countries out of the strip.

That comes after a list of the first group of people cleared for passage out of Gaza was released last night, including the names of 400 Americans.
