Streaming has overtaken movie theaters.

Americans more likely to watch a newly released movie from the comfort of their own home instead of heading to a theater.

It's, you know, it's been trending this way for quite a while.

Two-thirds of Americans say they've recently watched a,

oh, they've watched a recently released movie in a theater in the past year.

Only 16% said they went at least once a month.

Well, I understand that.

The TVs are bigger now.

Well, and you don't have to wait as long either.

Right.

When a movie hits the theater, sometimes in as little as three weeks, you can be, you know, renting it on streaming at home. And I know when we get these actors on to promote their movies, they always say, oh, you got to go see it in the theater. And, you know, in the case like, you know, Costner's Horizon, I guess there's some pretty cool scenery.

But, you know, like the Chickless movie? Is it? Do you really need to see that in the theater? No. Football, the big screen is cool, but you're right. It's like anything, you know. I'm sure the profit margin of the theater is a lot. You know, I listen, I'm not, I don't practice what I preach, but I like theater movies because you pay attention to the movie. You're immersed in the experience.

I like theater movies because it's you, you pay attention to the movie. You're immersed in the experience. I like the experience. Yeah. You don't have your phone anywhere. Nobody in the room is going to talk. Somebody makes the popcorn for you. Right. I get it completely. And I've watched movies over the years, just dramas, comedies, whatever, and you're just, it's a common experience that's always in the room, you're feeling it, and you're paying attention. How many times have you watched a movie at home that was okay, not the 100% great, but 80% you liked the movie, but you still looked away for a while because you were just at home. And if you're in the theater, you'll keep looking at the screen.

We'll do this at home every once in a while.

We'll be scurling through movies, and Christy will say, didn't we watch that? And I was like, oh, yeah, I guess we did. And you wouldn't have, oh, yeah, you remember when you went to the theater.
