We are joined by a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played 12 years for the Rams,

the Giants, the Cardinals. He won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2000, where he was also named the Super Bowl MVP.

Always good to get caught up with you. Kurt, how are you? I'm doing good, Jim. How are you?

Good, good, Kurt. Great to talk to you. Hey, let me ask you about a story that just broke in the last

few minutes. The Panthers have decided to bench Bryce Young in favor of Andy Dalton.

What is your reaction to that story? Do you think that's a good idea for the

young quarterback? Well, I think we're always shocked when that happened, especially with the number

one overall pick in just his second year. But when you watch the tape and you see where they're at

as a team and where Bryce seems to be at this point.

You know, I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing long term to get him kind of away from things.

You know, last year wasn't a great situation, didn't have a lot of opportunity.

So I don't sure he grew a lot last year, even though he played a lot of football.

And then they're just not where they need to be where he can elevate this team to be successful.

And so, you know, hopefully this becomes one of those things where he can take a step back.

And now it's time to learn.
