It's 18 years.

The 18 year commemoration of 9-11, 2001.

Hard to believe.

I mean, in two years, we're going to be 20 years beyond 9-11.

That is staggering to think of.

Sure is.

And there are still taking kids to these monuments and the memorials in the home that they'll remember.

That they'll remember something that you weren't even born for.

Buses carrying school kids still travel to the Pennsylvania field, where that Boeing 757 crashed 18 years ago.

But unlike the first groups to do this, a lot of them, a lot of the early ones, of course, had watched the 9-11 attacks unfold.

Today's students hadn't even been born when the US pivoted into a war.

Color coded terrorism warnings nationwide morning and remembrance.

Certainly children and those who were not born yet, when the events of September,

a lot of 2001 took place, we'll view this place differently.

But schools are still visiting the memorial and the park is committed to engaging students and visitors of all ages.

It's almost two decades since the terrorist attacks.

And when we said, we'll never forget, this change to the country forever will be unified from now on.

That actually lasted a month or less.

But fortunately, we're still remembering the day.
