deliberate and deadly terrorist acts the victims were in airplanes or in their offices

secretaries businessmen and women military and federal workers moms and dads friends and neighbors

thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil despicable acts of terror we're back this is

happened this morning the pictures of airplanes flying into buildings have filled us with disbelief

terrible sadness and acquired unyielding anger and we're going to stay with this local coverage we've

been talking here and have made the decision to try and bring ourselves back onto the air in a

more normal fashion these acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and

retreat I can assure you however that our first responsibility is stay alerted to the national

news but they have failed our country is strong a great people has been moved to defend a great nation

I got a call at eight o'clock this morning from one of the kids I used to have who said

why don't you turn on CNN a plane just crashed into the world trade center both of us thinking

at the time it was a commercial air accident and like everyone else in the country the longer I

watched the more I realized I was witnessing for the first time in my life this country

under attack far more so than in 1993 when there was an attempt to bring down the world trade

center in New York this was clearly an attack on the United States terrorist attacks can shake

the foundations of our biggest buildings but they cannot touch the foundation of America these
