Well, if you're looking for a nice quiet place to take a walk, the first trail in the United States to receive the rare quiet trail designation is right here in beautiful Nebraska.

No, there's a certain amount of, there's some science that goes into this.

How quiet it is you mean?

Right.

They go in like 15 minute increments and how little unnatural sound you hear

oh unnatural right you're not hearing

you're going to hear birds and things like that right

you're not going to hear any traffic you're not going to hear any air traffic

you're not going to hear anything but you know like when i go up to the boundary waters

that's very very quiet like the fake birds they pump in for the master's coverage. Yeah. Now that I know that's fake, they sound so fake now. Has to be fake. But as I say, when I go up to the boundary waters, all I hear are the voices in my head. Right. That's not a good thing. And the ringing in my ears. There's that. And then the moaning, softly, whispering here.

How far is that?

Near Valentine. It would probably be about a four and a half, five-hour drive from

Omaha. But it's worth it.

That's a beautiful part of the country.

Popular destination, canoeing on a calm, early morning water, floating on tubes with friends.

That's where it's not so quiet.
