It's in federal hands. I'm Lisa Lacerra. Fox News. The FBI has taken control of the investigation into the deadly shooting at Old Dominion University in Virginia.

FBI Norfolk's special agent in charge, Dominique Evans, said it's confirmed. What the ODU shooter identified as Mohamed Jallo shouted is now guiding their investigation.

Prior to him conducting this act of terrorism, he shouted, stated, al-Aqvar.

Evan said, it appears Jalo had only one weapon, adding that O.D.U students subdued him.

And, in her words,

rendered him no longer alive. I don't know what else to say it.

One victim was killed. Two others are recovering. Evan said the investigation will trace

Jallo's steps leading up to the shooting. Fox is, Garnal Scott. The students were members of the

ROTC. and the FBI says this

afternoon's attack on a synagogue outside Detroit as a targeted act of violence against the Jewish

community. When a man armed with a rifle rammed his vehicle into the Temple Israel Synagogue

in West Bloomfield, the vehicle caught fire. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. No children and no

staff were hurt. The man who was not yet been identified was shot and killed by security.

The FBI says the vehicle's owner is a naturalized American citizen from Lebanon, but it's not
