Another shooting involving federal agents. I'm Lisa Lacerra. Fox News. Police in Portland, Oregon, say two people were wounded.

Portland police said a man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds and that federal agents were involved in the incident.

FBI Portland confirmed those agents as customs and border protection. Police Chief

Bob Day said the incident is being investigated in the midst of, in his words, heightened emotion

and tension as a result of the recent deadly shooting in Minneapolis. Chief Day added the scene is

secured but has urged the community to remain calm.

The two people's shot were taken to a hospital.

They were not immediately identified, nor were their conditions officially released.

Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden posted on X that he's monitoring the reports of the shooting,

writing that he will keep constituents updated, but said President Trump's deployment of federal agents

in his hometown is clearly inflaming violence and must end.

Homeland Security issuing a statement a short time ago, saying agents were conducting a targeted vehicle

stop in Portland, Oregon. The passenger of the vehicle and target is a Venezuelan illegal alien,

affiliated with a transnational Trendi-Ira prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in

Portland, and the agent fired a shot when the driver weaponized the vehicle. Fox's Garrot Tenney is in Minneapolis.

He said hundreds of people are demonstrating at federal buildings as after an immigration

officer shot and killed a woman in an arrest UV yesterday during a confrontation.

We have seen more than a dozen people arrested here today. Several of are throwing bottles at

Border Patrol.

Agents have had to use tear gas and pepper balls to break up the crowd a few times.
