Today I want to share with you a two hour long conversation I had with a Protestant Baptist

pastor from Kentucky named Wendell. He invited me on a recent Twitter or X space to talk about Catholic theology.

We did that for two hours. We also had Daniel

aka Darwin to Jesus, another Protestant ex-user. Both of them asked me really

insightful questions and it was a great conversation on the distinctions between Catholicism and Protestantism.

I want to thank both you guys, Daniel and you Trent, for being here tonight and for everybody tuning in to listen to this

conversation now that's what we're having here tonight a conversation we're not going to be

having the debate I think debates are great but they need to be formally structured

and for a Twitter space I

honestly believe it's my opinion anyway that conversations work best so the six

subjects we're gonna be talking about tonight is papal authority, tradition being equal to

scripture, intercession of saints, purgatory, trans substantiation, and the doctrine

around married. Now if I get something wrong, Trent,

as far as these subjects let me know.

I'm obviously not Catholic, so I'm not an expert necessarily in any of these

different types of theological subjects here. But let's begin. Now with

papal authority, the way I understand it, that when the Catholics talk about

papal authority and what we're meaning here is the term of ex cathedral.

Was that right Trent?

Okay, yeah, thank you very much much so when the Pope is speaking there he is basically in Aaron is that correct so let's talk about this doctrine just a little bit if you wouldn't mind just to go ahead and give us an overview of how Catholics perceive this particular doctrine and what it exactly means.
