What's up and welcome to another episode of the Scott and Ian show on the SBL podcast.

Today, an incredible treat.

We're going to play the Rob Mularky and Richard Spaven talk show episode that Scott and I and the team from SBL filmed down in London a number of months ago.

And it is incredible.

Even if I do say so myself, like I was there in the room and it was incredible. Hey, Rob Mularky, most known for playing bass with Jacob Collier, but also involved in this beat music scene in London. Incredible bass player, incredible sound maker, communicator, educator. He is the real deal, like this well-rounded musician, we're going to get to hear from him today.

Also, Richard Spaven, one of the authoritative voices in beat music in Dillafield, drunk,

wonky time, whatever you want to call it. He is on kit, and he's talking all about that.

And I, like, oh, I think I got on his last last nerve I just wanted him to drill down and explain

every single thing that he was doing so it's so fun they play these tunes and then Scott and I get to

ask questions and I am so fascinated by that like Detroit Solquarian J. Dilla thing and how you would

even approach that on drums how then you would approach it on

the bass. And we get to ask all of these questions. Oh, and Rob goes through all of his

pedals and talks about playing like octave bass and where to put pocket when you're playing

like that drunk J. Dilla style of playing bass against the drums.

It's amazing.

It's so much fun.

So we're going to get there.
