Summary

God did not grant us salvation so that we can rest and relax and chill in who we already were. He has called us up. He has called us to live as He did. To walk alongside sinners and broken people while guarding our hearts with wisdom and faith. Let's talk about it (even if your struggle is more often than the holidays!)

P.S. I will be back in late February or early March! I love you guys! Happy New Year!

P.P.S. Due to extremely high demand, I have decided to keep The Wife Project OPEN for purchase indefinitely! Start 2022 with a refreshed, healthier and more joyful and fun marriage by registering today as an early Christmas gift to yourself

Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the Living Easy Podcast. I am so grateful to be here today. I

0:06.1

did want to let y'all know that this is going to be one of the last episodes that I have for

0:11.2

a couple of months. I am going to take a Sabbath. If you're on my mailing list, you received an

0:16.4

email telling you the most popular downloaded episodes of 2021 on the podcast. And so I hope you

0:23.6

are able to see those and you can listen through to any you haven't heard. But I also shared that

0:28.5

Sabbath rest is so important to me. And I believe that God calls us to Sabbath, commands us to

0:34.1

Sabbath. He doesn't request it, right? He commands us to Sabbath because he desires for us to see one

0:40.8

that we need it, our bodies, our minds, we need that rest, but also that we are not in control of

0:47.2

everything in our lives. I am not in control of the success of this podcast or the hearts that it

0:53.6

reaches or the people that God uses it to save. That is all in his hands and me taking a step

1:00.6

back and taking just time with my family allows me the opportunity to see that and to live that

1:06.7

out and obedient. So with that said, I just wanted to give a quick word of encouragement and to

1:12.8

talk a little bit about the holidays and dealing with difficult relatives and in-laws during

1:17.1

the holidays. But before I begin there, I will let you know that we will be back either at the end

1:22.1

of February or beginning of March with a new money and Christianity series. It will be a series

1:27.4

filled with budget tips, practical application, learning to navigate money with a spouse,

1:34.4

learning to unlearn all of the generational lessons that you saw with finances whether

1:40.4

good or bad and create it to be something that works for you and your family. And of course,

1:45.6

it will be filled with biblical scripture on financial stewardship and what it looks like to really

1:50.5

use your money for God's glory and differently than the world. There are so many things that Jesse

1:57.2

and I have learned about finances. Oh, man, from a lot of mistakes that we've made, but we've been

2:02.4

really blessed to have amazing people pour into us who are financially wise. People who have given
