1:06.0 | So I wanted to have you on today to talk a little bit about your infertility journey. |
1:12.0 | So I'm really happy that you decided to be candid and come on here and just share because I know this will help so many people feel less alone in their own journeys. |
1:22.0 | So first of all, thank you for being here and being just an amazing person to share your story. |
1:28.0 | I did want to share just a few statistics that were pulled from the CDC and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. |
1:36.0 | Because I'm sure people know how common infertility is, but I just wanted to give everybody some statistics to go off of. |
1:45.0 | So 12% of women will experience difficulties getting pregnant or carrying a child to term. |
1:51.0 | One in eight couples in America and counter fertility hurdles. |
1:55.0 | 33% of Americans have turned in fertility treatments or know somebody who has. |
2:00.0 | And 10% of all couples are unable to conceive after two years of unprotected sex. |
2:05.0 | And 12 to 15% are unable to conceive after one year of unprotected sex. |
2:11.0 | And I think it's funny because you know we think about this like when we're younger. |
