Hey, Doug. We kick things off with some good news for Carnival and why it caused a little bit of confusion for some people.

Yeah, very good news indeed for Carnival because while many other sectors of the tourism industry are being really hard hit by sort of economic uncertainty, both in the United States and around the world,

Carnival Corporation seems basically immune. They are raking in money hand over fist, as evidenced

by their latest earnings call. To be clear, they are definitely spending money, you know,

with the preparations for the opening of Celebration Key and new shipboarders and stuff like that, but they're making a whole lot.

Ticket prices are higher than ever.

Ships are sailing at over 100% capacity, and onboard spending on things like specialty

and, you know, in casinos and shops is booming.

So why were people confused? Well, you may recall that over the past week or so, Carnival

Cruise Line, the biggest division of Carnival Corporate, rolled out plans for the Carnival

Rewards Program. This is going to replace the VIFP starting in June of next year,

and it has people in an absolute uproar over this.
