I'm a 31-year-old man who never read the Percy Jackson books as a kid, but I am now reading them as an adult because I'm on a quest to determine if this is a book series that we've all been sleeping on as a society. But I'm not on this quest alone. I'm never on this question alone, and I'm joined now by two folks. Ho-ho! They are the co-hosts of the Percy Jackson podcast Monster Donut. Yeah. All right. Of course. Of course. So just to give folks a backstory in case they have not heard your podcast and they aren't familiar with you, how did the two of you find the books? How did you get into the fandom? And then how did that eventually lead to starting a podcast?

So I read the original series as it was coming out while we were in middle school. My little sister was assigned to the Lightning Thief as summer reading back in 2006. So I ended up reading it with her.

And then the two of us kept reading the books as they came out after that. But I would only say I got

really into the books in high school after the last Olympian came out. And that's

when I got really active in the online fandom. Back then, it was only on like deviant art and

various forums. And then eventually moved on to Tumblr where I kind of settled in and never

left. So I think I've been in the Percy Jackson, like,
