0:14.3	Each episode we dive into the minds of some of the worst criminals in history and today we're going to be talking about the case of Barbara Opel.
0:21.8	So Barbara was a woman who, without putting it too bluntly, was a pretty terrible person.
0:29.4	She was a single mother of three. She didn't have too much going on in her life, she never had any money,
0:35.7	she always needed a place to live and in order to remedy this, Barbara decided to manipulate her very own children into committing one of the most horrific acts imaginable.

1:28.0	left with the question how culpable are they so it's a difficult one today. This case absolutely did not need to happen.

2:06.8	childhood chaotic from day one and it is a little bit confusing her childhood so I'm just going to kind of speed through it but

2:18.8	was secret so Barbara's mom's husband didn't know about the affair if that makes sense and Barbara's mom's husband didn't know about the affair, if that makes sense.
