Today, I'm delighted to bring you our featured guest, Deitra Harris.

Thanks for having me. It's our pleasure. Deetra,

are you using your talents doing work that you love? Absolutely. All right, good. We want to hear

the whole story, the whole screenplay, as it were. Deetra holds a bachelor's degree in computer

science and will complete her master's degree in marketing this December.

She left a global management position in 2012 to pursue her passion in film.

She's an award-winning independent filmmaker whose films have screened all over the world.

She recently wrapped production on her web-based design show and is currently working on a feature-length

animation project, which is a co-production with a company in France.

Dietra, that's a brief summary of what you're up to.

Tell us what has you fired up and motivated now in your career.

Well, I'm very excited about finishing my master's degree in marketing.

In terms of film, I actually started an organization called Feed, and it's facilitate, educate,

empower, and develop. And the goal of Feed is to travel around the world and to empower

artists to be financially successful with

their art and the things they love to do.

Well, you know, there's a wonderful idea.

Yeah, there's a saying, this starving artist kind of mantra.

So we're trying to disband that and show artists how they can turn their art into a financial business.
