Not to be able to have players come to your house because you're worried about a large group coming over because of COVID has been the most challenging thing for us because we're ahead in some areas, but we are way behind in chemistry.

We are way behind in getting to know each other.

And so we got a lot of guys that are going to have prominent roles that we're still trying to figure each other out.

The year 2020 has presented a unique set of challenges for coaches everywhere as they try and

manage a team during a worldwide pandemic.

And for Eric Musselman, who's just entering his second year,

not being able to scrimmage or play exhibition games has left a lot of unknowns.

I don't really know what any of the roles are going to be.

There's going to be some guys go, wow, I thought I was going to play a lot more.

Figuring out where everyone fits and maybe more importantly who they are has been made even

more difficult with 10 new faces on this year's roster.

Sometimes they don't know when I'm joking.

Sometimes they don't know that I'm smiling about their performance.

The off-the-floor stuff, Bo, for a new group, has been the most challenging.

And then there's the issue of in-game communication.

You know, in basketball, we coach plays.

We yell out what the other team set is we yell out coverages we yell out a

play call every time up and down the floor you know we don't have hand signals we

don't have headsets and just the way we're going to sit on the bench to
