Well, here we are again. Time for another sermon. What really is in your heart at this moment,

Sunday night after Sunday night,

Sunday morning after Sunday morning.

Are you expectant?

Excited?

Fighting distraction and boredom.

Moving quickly into a mental monotone, hungry to hear the word of God, not really sure why

you're here? What's in your heart? What's in your mind? What are you really thinking about? What are you seeking

in this moment? The passage we're going to look at this evening is radical in many ways.

And as I was thinking about it, I was thinking about something that

Charles Haddon Spurgeon wrote when he was thinking of that well-known verse from Psalm 119 that

says, Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my pathway,

and I thought it would be worth reading his words to you as we begin.
