Hey everyone welcome back to the council of Trent podcast my guest today is Austin from gospel simplicity and I'm really excited to have him on the channel and really I'm trying to start something new here on the channel where I do a lot of dialogues with people who are not Catholic because I think that's really fun. I do debates I do dialogues and Austin has

really created a lot of great content for us to chat about.

So why don't you tell us a little bit more about how gospel

simplicity got started and what you've been doing with the channel?

Yeah, so the channel started a while ago and I like to say that the church I was going to at the time made the mistake of letting me teach in the high school ministry because I fell in love with it.

I was like, I want to do this every week, but it turned out there were other people that wanted to do it.

So I couldn't, but I was talking to a mentor of mine. every week but it turned out there were other people that wanted to do it.

at this public speaking thing?

Because it was that, you know, one of those things you do it for the first time, you're like,

this is something I want to just keep doing as long as people let me do it for the first time you're like this is something I want to just keep doing as long as people

let me do it and he just recommended you know try to get as many at bats as you can but I

wasn't really satisfied with the the number and so I said you know I've got some cameras

I can just practice talking to a camera in my basement yeah that's really how it

started it was just for public speaking but then eventually I kind of stumbled

into the ecumenical space.

And there was the one that really took off

when you said it was like Protestant goes to Latin mass? It was right

before that so yeah at that point I was making like a couple of videos a week
