the spot, Joe, first off. Do you know what boxing date is? And part B, did you understand

what it was, if you do, before you followed soccer?

Yes, actually, yes to both of those things.

I don't know how I first heard of Boxing Day.

I assume my parents had told me about it, but none of us are British and none of us have a connection to England

other than the whole T thing back in the 1700s.

But I do know that Boxing Day is December 26th.

I do know at least this is what I was told as a child.

I did some more research for this show,

but I was told as a child that it had something to do with the people with money,

the rich people giving gifts to their servants,

giving gifts to people that didn't have things.

So that was my understanding of Boxing Day. I think that's still generally pretty accurate after the reading
